What are the side effects of Reydin?

Hi, my doctor gave me Reydin and I was drinking it at night at fist. My gums started bleeding and after that I had trouble concentrating. I also forget very easily. It is like I’m loosing my mind, what could be the problem?

Reydin is a generic version of TLD. This link is to a previous question about all TLD side effects. Reydin does not cause bleeding gums. Have you mentioned this symptom to a doctor?
How are you sleeping at night? Reydin is often best tolerated when taken during the morning. It can cause problems sleeping. If this is the case it would explain why you are having trouble concentrating.

Hi Evelyn, yes it is necessary to take it at the same time every morning. This is because how the drug works in the body.
Reydin starts to be less effective after 24 hours. This is why it is needed to be taken every 24 hours. Doing so ensures that the level of Reydin in the body is always at a high enough concentration to be effective.
Being late/missin an occasional is not going to effect how the treatment works, but doing so often can risk the treatment failing.
In general, it can be difficult to maintain the same time every day. A good rule is to work within an hour of your normal time. This is sufficient to keep the treatment effective e.g., if your regular time is 9am it is okay to take it between 8:30am and 9:30am.

Hi Emily, Reydin can also be used as PEP. This is a treatment used after an exposure to HIV for 30 days to prevent transmission.
Is only hiv tested positive people take reydin tablets.

Hi Nthabeleng, please go to speak with your doctor/ED. Having a tight chest and shortness of breath is not a side effect. You need to have this examined by a doctor for the cause.
Hi I went to clinic on Thursday and found out I am hiv positive they gave me reydin and now I am experiencing a very tight chest and shortness of breath should I worry or this is some of the side effects ? I am so stressed right now
