Hi there, I received my viral load results and the load is 63. Does this mean I am no longer undetectable and can transmit the virus to my partner?
Answer
Hi, how are you?
No. You cannot transmit HIV to your partner. Even if you are not using a condom.
This is because your viral load is below 200. When your viral load is this low you cannot pass on HIV via sex. This is explained by U=U. In this case, your viral load would be considered undetectable.
When undetectable, you are untransmissable. There is no risk to your partner.
Josh.
