What can I eat while taking lamivudine and zidovudine?

I’ve currently started taking lamivudine and zidovudine, I wanted to know the food and drinks I’m not supposed to consume while taking the meds.
I would like to know about the dos and don’ts

Both lamivudine and zidovudine can be taken with or without food. As with anyone, following a healthy and balanced diet is all you need to be doing. There is no restriction on what you can be eating/dirking.
If you are taking supplements alongside your treatment, it is recommended to take them at the opposite end of your day to your treatment. Some supplements contain vitamins and minerals in much higher doses than what is normally found in your diet. These higher doses can interact with treatment and prevent them from working as well.
When starting any new medication it would be advised to talk with your doctor/pharmacist (or email i-base). HIV treatment can have interactions with a number of treatment and is advised to check if there is any risk before starting a new treatment.
