Q and A

Question

Can I restart meds if I stopped them in 2019?

Hi, I was diagnosed with HIV last 2017 and I start drinking meds and it last until 2019 due to my work.

And now I’m planning to get back on treatment, it okay?

Or theres a complication? Or the treatment no longer effective since I stopped?

Answer

Hi there

Thanks for your question.

It is very easy to go back on meds again.

If your viral load was undetectable when you stopped in 2019 the same meds should still work now.

Or newer meds might be available that might be better.

Please get back in touch with your clinic.

They will want to know you are okay and to help connect you to care again.
