Can I take Tribuss with food?

Hi! I am 35 years and started taking my tribuss pill in February 2012. My problem is that I cant take the pill on an empty stomach. Can this make the pill to disfunction?

Tribuss is a generic combination treatment which contains three HIV drugs. These are efavirenz, FTC and tenofovir. In the UK, this combination in a single pill is called Atripla.
Tribuss is usually recommended to be taken on an empty stomach is to reduce side effects. This is up to 60% more efavirenz is absorbed if it is taken with a high fat meal.
This would mean there is more efavirenz than you need and you may be more likely to get side effects. Side effects from efavirenz include dizziness, mood changes and sleep disturbance. Please follow this link for more information about efavirenz side effects.
However, the increased levels of efavirenz are connected to a high fat meal.
If you prefer to take Tribuss with some food this is fine, just not with fatty foods.

Any symptoms you have on treatment is something to contact your clinic and doctor about. your doctor needs to look at whether or not this is serious and whether or not it is related to your medicine or something else.
Hi since im taking this pill and i am sweating a lot. Is it ok?
You can take treatment for as long as you need it. This depends on knowing that working and you are not getting side effects.
The first way to know treatment is working is that viral load will drop. Often it reaches undetectable levels (lees than 50 copies/mL) in the first month but the aim is to get this low or very close within three months. In the UK viral load is checked after 2-4 weeks but in other countries this may be different.
Secondly, your CD4 count is likely to increase. Although this is slower than viral load, your next CD4 count should already be higher.
Treatment only works if you take it. This means not missing doses. Many people are still doing well after being on treatment for more than 15 years and estimates for life expectancy are getting close to averages for HIV negative people.
You should plan to have a lot more life still to live.
How long is the possible to take Tribuss pills, and how do u know its working in your favour? How long can an HIV positive person live after being diagnosed with the infection?
A glass of wine is fine. Alcohol in moderation doesn’t interact with HIV drugs.
Can I have a glass of wine or any any alcohol while taking tribuss.
It sounds like your meds include a drug called efavirenz. Efavirenz is included in 3-in-1 formulations of Atripla, Odimune and Tribuss.
Most people get some side effects but they also reduce after the first week or two.

As you have just started treatment it is still very early days. It will be better to give yourself time to get used to the medicine and then see how you feel about sex.
Tribuss includes three meds: efavirenz, tenofovir and FTC. The efavirenz can change you moods and also upset your sleep patterns. These side effects usually get better after the first few weeks as your body gets used to them.

I’m on Tribuss for two week just started. My worry is I don’t have feelings for sex anymore. I used to have it once aweek but now I don’t feel like having it. Please help and my husband too also said that he doesn’t have feelings we tried having it but I didn’t enjoy it
