I missed a single dose of my baby’s Novatrim…

I am HIV positive and I give my baby 5ml of Novatrim daily. Since I’m breastfeeding, so today I completely forgot about her dosage as I was too busy. I remembered 8 hours later, after my normal time of administering the daily dosage and gave her during the time I remembered. Does the missed dosage have any effect on her or increase her chance of getting the virus?

Congratulations on having a baby.
No this will not increase baby’s risk of HIV transmission.
As this has only happened once, there will still be enough Novatrim in baby’s system to allow for being late with this one dose.
