I am on ARVs and always switching meds between Atroiza, Tribuss, Odimune and Trivenz. is this appropriate?
Answer
Hi
All the meds you listed include the same active drugs in the same combination.
In the UK this combination pill is called Atripla.
The different names are because this are made by different companies. It is very safe to switch between them.
Can I switch from erestz to myteladov
Hi Berta, Atroiza and Virtem are the same medication. They have a different name because they have been made by different companies. They contain the same drugs and will work the same way. The only difference is how they look and what they are called.

Can switch from Atroiza to virtem.. How does virtem works.
Hi Siwe, no these are not the same. Luvigen is a brand version of TLD. Odimune is a brand version of Atripla. The difference between them is TLD contains dolutegravir whereas Odimune contains efavirenz. It is safe to switch between them though it is best to remain on one type of treatment. Do you know why you have been switched? Atripla is an older drug and is being used less often. There are also more side effects associated with it. Has your doctor explained what to expect while taking Atripla?
Hi is Luvigen and odimune the same? Cause i was using Luvigen now they switched me to odimune
Hi Portia,
Are you asking if it’s OK to take Luvigen instead of the generic versions of Atripla?
Hi I’ve forced to switch from atroiza and odimune I’ve given livugen the nurse says that reason is because I’ve been undetectable for a while
Hi Magu,
Tribuss and Odimune are generic versions of an ARV called Atripla. Luvigen is a generic version of TLD- please see here: https://i-base.info/guides/12423 Have you been changed to this combination?
Is Luvigen pills same as Tribuss or Omivuden
Hi Thembi,
It sounds like you’ve been changed to TLD,(https://i-base.info/guides/14970) this is now recommended as first line treatment over Odiumne as it has less side effects. As to why you were changed to this combination you’ll need to talk to your doctor.
