Yes. Reydin can be used as PEP.
Reydin is a generic version of TLD.
TLD is a first line recommendation to be used as PEP. It is not used as PrEP. PrEP is used before an exposure and is usually a 2 drug combination called Truvada.

Hi Kyonge, this treatment should not be being used as PrEP. It is suitable to use as PEP and it can prevent further exposures while taking it, however it is not recommended to be used as such. Reydin contains 3 drugs and PrEP contains 2. Truvada is most commonly given as PrEP and would be more suitable for you to take.
Hi I went to a doctor 8 months ago and he gave me acriptega as pep and after he told me to continue with it as prep and after 5 months he switched me to reydin am I safe

can my partner be hiv positive since i saw that he is on REYDIN and noveco pills (though he denied these pills be his)
Hi Vee, do you know your partners viral load? If it is below 200 your partner is correct. It would be impossible for HIV to be transmitted. This is explained by U=U: https://i-base.info/guides/testing/uu-undetectable-untransmittable
This means that if someone is on treatment and that they have a suppressed viral load (below 200), HIV cannot be passed on via sex. You do not need to use a condom or be on your own medication to prevent transmission.
Hi it’s Vee again he told me yesterday that his is Hiv positive,his taking reydin tablets for his condition and told me I can’t get Hiv..it’s that possible I sleep with him more than 20 times without using condom and I did know his condition..

Hi Gif, which country are you based? Reydin is not used as PrEP. This is because it is a triple combination medication and used as treatment or PEP for HIV. PrEP uses a 2 combination medication – usually Truvada: https://i-base.info/guides/746
Reydin will prevent against transmission, however it is not a suitable medication to be using as prevention.
