Can I take Tribuss with food?

Hi! I am 35 years and started taking my tribuss pill in February 2012. My problem is that I cant take the pill on an empty stomach. Can this make the pill to disfunction?

Tribuss is a generic combination treatment which contains three HIV drugs. These are efavirenz, FTC and tenofovir. In the UK, this combination in a single pill is called Atripla.
Tribuss is usually recommended to be taken on an empty stomach is to reduce side effects. This is up to 60% more efavirenz is absorbed if it is taken with a high fat meal.
This would mean there is more efavirenz than you need and you may be more likely to get side effects. Side effects from efavirenz include dizziness, mood changes and sleep disturbance. Please follow this link for more information about efavirenz side effects.
However, the increased levels of efavirenz are connected to a high fat meal.
If you prefer to take Tribuss with some food this is fine, just not with fatty foods.

Please tell your doctor about the headache. Include as many details as possible, including how often this happens, how bad the headaches are, and how long they last.
Both Tribuss and Atroiza contain the same drugs so this shouldn’t be related to different treatment.
Has anything else in your life been different during these different times?
If the headaches contineu you may be able to try a different drug.

It is great that you are feeling better. There is no reason not take vitamin supplements unless you have a vitamin deficiency. You clinic can test you for this.
It is great that you are eating healthily and exercising. This is important for everyone but particularly for people who have HIV.

Hi, I have started taking Tribus last year April, up to far im feeling better cause even my cd4 is increasing and the viral load is undetectable, so my question is can i take immunase same time with Tribus, and again Im trying all means to eat healthy and excise, thinking of joining gym.

Hi im simphiwe, im not using the tribuss tablet and i just found out that my husband is using it and we are not using a condom. So how does this affect me?
