Can I take Tribuss with food?

Hi! I am 35 years and started taking my tribuss pill in February 2012. My problem is that I cant take the pill on an empty stomach. Can this make the pill to disfunction?

Tribuss is a generic combination treatment which contains three HIV drugs. These are efavirenz, FTC and tenofovir. In the UK, this combination in a single pill is called Atripla.
Tribuss is usually recommended to be taken on an empty stomach is to reduce side effects. This is up to 60% more efavirenz is absorbed if it is taken with a high fat meal.
This would mean there is more efavirenz than you need and you may be more likely to get side effects. Side effects from efavirenz include dizziness, mood changes and sleep disturbance. Please follow this link for more information about efavirenz side effects.
However, the increased levels of efavirenz are connected to a high fat meal.
If you prefer to take Tribuss with some food this is fine, just not with fatty foods.

Taking Odimune on an empty stomach can reduce side effects. But a high fat meal should be avoided. Pap and spinach doesn’t sound like a high fat meal at all. It sounds delicious! But it’s not a problem. Odimune will work well anyway, and taking it before bedtime without a high fat meal can reduce the side efects.

Its fine to take Tribuss a few hours either side of your normal time, this won’t be an issue.
It is a must that I get my tribuss same time everyday? pls help

If you’re having issues with Tribuss you should discuss this with your doctor. They will be able to advice you of alternatives.
Can I change my Tribuss to another type?
Hi Eva, Many people take Tribuss at night and on an empty stomach. That’s because having a high fat meal with them can increase side effects, and your sleep can be disturbed. You can ask your doctor if eating earlier, and taking your meds at a later time, might help you get a better night’s sleep.

I take tribuss from 2012, 8 at night the problem I get sleepy in the morning. what might be the cause I gym 2hour every day, I even told my Doctor she gave me multivitamin for energy but is not helping. or is because I take them with food? can I change and take them 6 pm before I will eat supper
