i-Base

Josh Peasegood

Josh is responsible for answering questions sent to the i-Base Q&A service.

Before joining i-Base, Josh worked within a nursing team providing support for individuals with complex neurodevelopmental conditions.

This position gave him an opportunity to expand his way of communicating. Making information accessible to people with different languages and understanding is one of the reasons Josh works as an advocate.

Josh graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2018. His degree is in Biomedical Science and it focussed on public engagement and communication. Josh is interested developing accessible material to make it easier for people to learn about their own health and engage in current developments.

He is studying medicine alongside his position as an HIV treatment information officer. Josh is determined to address health inequalities and championing patients to be active in their own care.
