Kirk Taylor

Kirk is driven by an interest for science communication and making science accessible.

He joined i-Base as a freelance writer in 2022 and enjoys learning about cutting-edge research in HIV treatment and prevention.

Kirk is a research scientist specialising in heart disease with particular focus on blood clotting. He obtained his PhD from the University of Leicester in 2015 and has worked at universities in Cambridge, London and Reading.

He has contributed to cardiovascular research and research into antiretroviral drugs, and has attended several HIV conferences.
