Rebecca McDowall
Rebecca McDowall was an advocate at i-Base from 2011 to 2014.
Rebecca McDowall joined i-Base in December 2011. She has a degree in African studies and development studies from London’s School of Oriental and African studies and has a keen interest in international HIV work.
Rebecca has been volunteering with HIV programmes since 2006, working with organisations in the India, Africa and the UK. Before working at i-Base she worked with the UK consortium on AIDS and international developmenbt and campaigned with the Student Stop AIDS campaign for access universal to HIV treatment.
As a treatment information officer, Rebecca responds to treatment questions posed online and via email, and also answers the treatment information phoneline. Rebecca is also our publication distribution manager and is responsible for ensuring i-Base resources find their way promptly to the clinics and individuals who order them.
