Robin Jakob
Robin Jakob was an advocate at i-Base from 2014 to 2016.
Robin Jakob joined i-Base in March 2014 as a full-time Treatment Advocate and Information Officer and managed the information request service for two years. This includes answering questions online, by e-mail and over the phone.
Robin has been interested in HIV-related issues from a young age, throughout university and in work. This covered a wide range of areas including HIV policy making, prevention and treatment. He was a volunteer for HIV organisations in Kenya and Scotland.
He has also conducted research in South Africa on the experiences of HIV positive people in medical research studies.
Robin studied politics and international development studies at Aberystwyth and Edinburgh universities. Before working at i-Base, Robin worked for HIV Scotland in Edinburgh.
