Roy Trevelion
Roy joined i-Base in 2015 and runs the i-Base treatment information phoneline. He also helps with all publications, including proofreading HTB, and answers comments to the website Q&A service Monday to Wednesday.
Roy is a community rep on the UK Collaborative HIV Cohort study (UK-CHIC). And he is co-chair of the community advisory group on the RCT for free HIV self-tests, SELPHI. Roy is working on public and patient involvement in the new PRISM study that looks at HIV and chronic pain.
Roy has had over 40 years previous experience in book and magazine publishing. He was co-founder in 1980 of Brilliance Books the UK’s first lesbian and gay fiction publishers. As an art director he led on promotion and awareness campaigns in English and key languages for BBC World Service and BBC Global News in the noughties.
Roy is an active member of the Socialist Health Association.
